The first place that the tour bus stopped off at was the Olympic site of the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. I honestly have no idea why we stopped here. It seemed quite pointless as it has nothing to do with the blue mountains. However, it was cool that the stadium was solar powered. There were solar panels everywhere.

Next stop was to stop off and see some kangaroos in the wild. There were about 4 around just grazing in the grass in Grose Valley. It seems that this is the thing to do on every single tour I do in Australia. They always stop to see if they can spot kangaroos. It's really kinda hard not to. They are freaking everywhere!
We continued our trip and went to Wentworth falls first. Unfortunately the falls were quite dried up and looked like a trickle of water coming off the mountain. But this viewpoint for the blue mountains was absolutely spectacular. Luckily it was prime weather for it as well. The sky was totally clear and blue, not a cloud in the sky.

At Katoomba Falls we got a better view of the blue mountains. It had a great view of the Three Sisters and Orphan rock. From here I ended up walking through the rainforest down about 900 steps to look at different things. The first was Witch's Leap where there was a small waterfall that looks very much like a person's face.
Upon reaching the bottom of the trail I took the Katoomba Scenic Railway back up to the top. This is the steepest railway in the world with an incline of 52 degrees. When you sit in the seat it feels like you're partially lying down but once it starts going, you're sitting perfectly upright. It's rather a strange experience but quite cool when you pass though a part of the mountain.
The night was really a catch up session with people I hadn't seen in such a long time and consisted of drinking and catching up for years past.
